Jason is the number one Muesli Maker in the house and we are guaranteed a healthy start to the day each morning with his famous Super Healthy Muesli mix. Soaking your oats overnight and eating them raw means a higher bioavailability of the oat protein, better absorption and good prebiotics to the gut.
4 cups of jumbo rolled oats
1 cup of whole linseeds
1 cup desiccated coconut (this is for flavour only)
½ a cup of each of the following
How to Make
Mix all ingredients together. At night soak 7 heaped tablespoons of the above muesli in a liquid of your choice (water/freshly squeezed juice/good quality soy/rice/almond/oat/coconut/ milk). Add any other ingredients you like (frozen berries flavour it really well overnight – blackcurrants are my favourite), or chia, other dried fruits etc. Just before eating, chop on top your favourite topping such as bananas or berries. Add 3 Brazil nuts to receive your daily RDI of selenium and 3 walnuts for your brain health!
Chef’s hint Try adding different nuts, seeds, dried fruit, fresh fruit, coconut yoghurt, or spices (ginger, cinnamon or mixed spice) to your tasting delights!
